Mallory, Nellie (Marriage – 15 Jan. 1884)

The many friends of Charles E. Bussell, for many years a residence of this city, will be interested in learning of his marriage, which occurred at Camden, Arkansas, on the 15th inst. A dispatch to the St. Louis Globe Democrat states that the wedding was one of the most brilliant ever occurring in south Arkansas. The following account of the nuptials is from “Public Opinion,” published at Camden.

MARRIED – At the Episcopal Church in this city, at 7:30 o’clock this morning, Col. C. E. Bussell, the prominent real estate and timber agent, of Little Rock, to Miss Nellie Mallory, Register of the U. S. Land Office, at this place.

The church was beautifully decorated with evergreens and flowers. Just in front of the chancel and overhead, was hanging a large pendant designed as a marriage bell, made of evergreens, winter lilies, oxalics and other beautiful and fragrant flowers.

At precisely 7:30 o’clock the wedding cortege arrived and entered the church, in the following order: Mr. M. C. Wilson, chief clerk of the railway to the groom, and Miss Minnie Mallory, bridesmaid and young sister of the bride; then the groom, looking his best, with Mrs. S. W. Mallory, and following came, Gen. Mallory with the *Rest cut off.**
