Irlbeck, Frank (? – JUN 1939)

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, June 6, in Weyauwega for Frank Irlbeck, a former Loyal resident. At the time of America’s entry into the World War he was working at his trade of baker for Mr. L. E. Chamberlain and making his home with the Chamberlain family. He was among the first to be called, going first to Camp Grant at Rockford, Ill. He returned to Loyal when the war closed and resumed his work for Mr. Chamberlain. He became a charter member of the Loyal American Legion Post. When he left here he went to Marshfield where he started a bakery business for himself.

After his marriage in 1922 to Miss Dorothy Reinert of Hewitt they moved to Weyauwega where they have since made their home.

He died Friday night in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Appleton. Death was caused by a double rupture. He was given a military funeral.

He is survived by his wife and three children Robert 15, Eugene 9, and Caroline 6.

Frank Christenson received his call to service at the same time Mr. Irlbeck did and was with him at Camp Grant. Although Mr. Christenson did not attend the funeral, he and Mrs., Christenson went to Weyauwega the day before to pay their last respects to his old friend and to extend sympathy to the members of the family.

In the short time Mr. Irlbeck lived here he made many friends.
