Friday noon of last week, Wm. M. Jacobs, long a resident of this section (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls, having been a patient there for two days before his death. He had been suffering with ulcers of the stomach and has been failing in health for three years, but remained active and in good spirits until the past year. Wm. Jacobs was an industrious man. He cleared land and made many acres of soil tillable near and on the farm on which he lived until his death.

He is survived by his wife and four children, William, Alice and Mabel, at home, Minnie (Mrs. E. Kocherer) of Eidsvold, and four grandchildren, also one sister, who resides at Melrose Park, Ill., one daughter, Margaret, preceded him in death on May 26, 1931.

Mr. Jacobs was a kind husband and father, a good friends and neighbor. Always pleasant and friendly and respected by all who knew him.

Funeral services were held at the Funeral Home in Thorp at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, by Rev. Carl Berry. The pallbearers were: Ambrose Brunett, Henry Bauers, John Misfeldt, Anton Baldeschwiler, Amos Sisco and William Glasshof Sr. He was laid to rest in the Reseburg Cemetery.
