BioM: Ziegler, Anna (1935)
Surnames: ZIEGLER SCHAEFER NEUBAUER ---Source: WEEKLY CLARION (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI) 11/15/1935 Ziegler, Anna (12 NOV 1935) A pretty fall wedding was solemnized Tuesday morning at 8 o’clock at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at Medford, when Miss Anna Ziegler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ziegler, town of Browning, became the bride of Walter Schaefer of Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.). The ceremony was read by the Rev. Father Reuter, pastor of the Holy Rosary Church. The bride chose baby blue silk as her wedding gown and wore a full length veil of white tulle. She carried an arm bouquet of mixed autumn flowers and wore white accessories. Her sister, Miss Mary Ziegler, who acted as maid of honor, wore light blue silk and Miss Grace Neubauer of Perkinstown, who was bridesmaid, wore sky blue silk. Both wore corsages of mixed flowers and matching accessories. The groom’s attendants were John and Joseph Ziegler Jr., brother of the bride, both of the town of Browning. A wedding dinner and supper and reception were held at the home of the groom’s parents following the ceremony, with covers laid for about forty intimate friends and relatives of the newlyweds. In the evening a wedding dance was given at Mathey’s Hall near Medford. The happy couple will make their home with the groom’s parents throughout the winter and are planning a wedding trip later in the year. The bride has been employed in general work until her marriage and the groom is employed on his father’s farm. Their many friends join us in wishing them the best of luck and happiness in future years. Out of town friends and relatives attending the reception were Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Schaefer and family of Milan, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Danen and family of Medford. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Gumz and family, Otto Schaefer, Ferdinand Meyer, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Waldhart and family. |
