BioM: Melvin, Margaret (1936)
Surnames: MELVIN WEIDEMAN MILLER GASCH ---Source: WEEKLY CLARION (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI) 05/08/1936 Melvin, Margaret (6 MAY 1936) Miss Margaret A. Melvin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Melvin, became the bride of Henry Weideman, son of Mr. and Mrs. August Weideman, all of the town of Holton (Marathon Co., Wis.), Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Marathon County Courthouse. The ceremony was read by Judge Leicht. Attendants were Miss Genevieve Melvin, sister of the bride, and Miss Esther Miller, Edwin Weideman, brother to the groom, and Roland Gasch. The bride was attired in white satin with a cap style net veil. She carried a bouquet of sweet peas and roses. Her sister wore baby blue satin and Miss Miller wore pale green taffeta. Both wore wrist bouquets of sweet peas and roses. A five o’clock dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents to immediate relatives with covers laid for thirty. A wedding dance was given in the evening at the Trianon Hall. The home and tables were tastily decorated in white, blue and green for the occasion. The happy young couple will make their future home on the groom’s arm in the town of Holton, and will be at home to their many friends after May 12. The bride is well known and liked in this vicinity, having taught school during the past year and the host of friends of both bride and groom join us in wishing them the best life has to offer in their years together. |
