Bolen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Bolen of Stratford, Rev. O. Hoffmann reading the marriage ceremony. Miss Esther Schultz served as maid of honor and Miss Florence Bolen, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Woodrow Tesmer and Carl Taves. Dorraine Kading, niece of the bride, acted as flower girl. The wedding march was played by Miss Rena Bauer, accompanied by Delos Kops on the violin. Mrs. H. Redlich, soloist, sang “The Lord is My Shepherd,” preceding the ceremony, and, after the ceremony, sang “Entreat Me Not to Leave Thee.” The bride was attired in a beautiful dress of white satin with tulle veil, cap effect, and her bouquet was consisted of white roses, baby breath and swansonias. The maid of honor wore a dress of green satin and her bouquet also consisted of white roses, baby breath and swansonias. The bridesmaid wore a dress of pink satin and her bouquet consisted of gladioli, carnations and baby breath. The flower girl carried a basket of mixed flowers. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, covers being laid for fifty at a six o’clock dinner. The home was nicely decorated for the occasion by pink and white butterflies and streamers. In the evening, a free wedding dance was given at Wiedenhoeft’s pavilion which was largely attended by friends and relatives. The newlyweds will make their home at March Rapids where the groom is employed as cheesemaker. |
