Surnames: HARDRATH WIEDENHOEFT HOFFMANN LANGE LENTZ ---Source: COLBY PHONOGRAPH (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 10/06/1932 Hardrath, Edith (Marriage – 5 Oct. 1932) A very pretty wedding took place Wednesday afternoon, October 5th, at the Zion Lutheran parsonage, Rev. O. Hoffmann, officiating, when Miss Edith Hardrath, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hardrath of the town of Green Grove, became the bride of Mr. Gilbert J. Wiedenhoeft, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wiedenhoeft of Colby. Miss Frieda Lange of Milwaukee and Miss Mildred Wiedenhoeft were bridesmaids and the groom was attended by Gilbert Lentz and Harold Hardrath. The bride was attired in a beautiful dress of blue velvet with hat to match and her bouquet consisted of pink tea roses. Miss Lange wore a dress of brown velvet with hat to match and her bouquet consisted of yellow tea roses. Miss Wiedenhoeft wore a dress of wine colored crepe with hat to match and her bouquet consisted of carnations. A wedding reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being nicely decorated with autumn leaves and streamers to harmonize with the dresses of the bridal party. In the evening, a free wedding dance was given at H. Wiedenhoeft’s pavilion which was largely attended by friends and relatives. The newlyweds left on a wedding trip to Edgewater where they will spend the balance of the week camping and will be at home next week in Colby, the groom being employed here at the Dix Meat Market. |
