July 9, 2007 Clyde Broeske (April 21, 1926 - July 8, 2007) Clyde L. Broeske of Abbotsford died at home with his family by his side Sunday morning, July 8, 2007, after a long period of failing health. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford. Burial will be in the Abbotsford Public Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Paul C. Hunsicker will officiate. Pallbearers will be Shane Broeske, Kelly Wiedenbeck, Stacy Remus, Krista Krause, Julie Lefler, Jenny Sarnecki, Landon Marcott, Laron Marcott, Lonnie Marcott, Micahel Ludwig, Amanda Ludwig, Kayleigh Broeske, Shayla Broeske and Nicolette Broeske. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at the church. Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family. Clyde was born April 21, 1926, to Elroy and Emma (Behring) Broeske on the family farm in the town of Mayville, Dorchester. He graduated from Abbotsford High School in 1943. Clyde and Carmen Schultz were married on May 17, 1947. They owned and operated a four-generation century farm in the town of Mayville for 50 plus years. They resided there until 2005 and moved to the city of Abbotsford in 2006. Clyde served as an elder of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Dorchester, and later becoming a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford. He continued his leadership as Circuit No. 10 leader Lutheran Church Extension Fund, later as Congregational Representative and elder of the congregation. Clyde enjoyed farming, woodworking and playing cards with family and friends. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He is a member of the Abbotsford Sportsman's Club. Clyde is survived by his loving wife Carmen of Abbotsford, his children, Judith (Gary) Jicinsky of Marshfield, Susan (Dennis) Brost of Oak Creek, Larry (Marilyn) Broeske of Arkdale, Gail (Lenis) Marcott of Abbotsford, Bryon (Tammey) Broeske of Dorchester and Dianne (Terry) Ludwig of Dorchester, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Donald Broeske of California, and Marvin (Kay) Broeske of Abbotsford and one sister, Dorothy Greunke of Fond du Lac. We've been blessed! -- wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorials may be given to Christ Lutheran Church, or Hospice Home Care. |
