Surnames: MENGEL VETTERKIND FILLIPP ---Source: OWEN ENTERPRISE (Owen, Clark County, Wis.) 03/15/1934 Mengel, Fred (1873? – 10 MAR 1934) Fred Mengel, 60, formerly a resident of this vicinity (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), died at Jump River last Saturday. He suffered an attack of the flu last fall and has been in failing health ever since. He leaves to mourn his death a wife and six children, Arthur of Fort Worth, Texas, Walter and Rudolph of Jump River, George of Chippewa Falls, Mrs. Charles Vetterkind of Withee and Mrs. Verne Fillipp of Owen. Also nine grandchildren and two brothers, Peter of Jump River and Jack of Owen. The funeral was held Tuesday, Rev. Martin of Sheldon officiating. The remains were interred in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery at Jump River. |
