Nichols, Elnora (5 APR 1934)

A very pretty wedding was solemnized in the Lutheran Parsonage at Medford, Thursday, April 5, 1934, when Elenora Nichols of the town of Holway (Taylor Co., Wis.) became the bride of John Wild of the town of Little Black (Taylor Co.). They were attended by Mary Potonick and Raymond Nichols, brother of the bride.

The bride was smartly attired in white crepe black satin. She wore a veil held in place with a bandeau of wax orange blossoms that were worn by the first bride of her home 18 years ago. She carried a bridal bouquet of roses and carnations. The bridesmaid wore a becoming pink silk crepe gown and carried a bouquet of carnations.

The groom and best man wore suits of blue.

After the ceremony they returned to the groom’s home where they had a quiet supper at 6:30. Later in the evening they departed for Lake Isadore to Spreen’s Hall, where the bridal party opened the wedding dance to the strains of “The Waltz You Save For Me.”

The groom is a young man raised in the vicinity of Medford and is of excellent character. The bride was born and raised in the town of Holway. Both are well known hand have a large circle of friends who wish them the best of everything.

They will be at home to their friends at the Clover Leaf Farmer’s factory, four miles north of Curtiss on County Trunk E, where the groom is now employed.
