Surnames: SMILEY BUGRIN HALVERSON PUDLAS GREEN HALL ---Source: OWEN ENTERPRISE (Owen, Clark County, Wis.) 06/28/1934 Smiley, Mary (27 JUN 1934) A pretty home wedding was solemnized at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L.W. Smiley of Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), when their daughter, Mary, became the bride of DuWayne Bulgrin of Long Beach, Calif., Rev. Crandall of Merrillan officiating. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Preceding the ceremony Miss Rachel Halverson of Owen sang “I Love You Truly.” The wedding march from Lohengrin was played by Miss Esther Pudlas. The bride wore a gown of floor length white satin, featuring a small train. A veil of silk tulle fell entrain. A bouquet of roses and lilies of the valley was carried by the bride. The maid of honor, Miss Eleanor Green, was dressed in floor length yellow crepe. The bridesmaid, Miss Mildred hall, a cousin of the bride, was dressed in blush pink crepe. Each with white accessories and carrying arm bouquest of roses and ferns. The ring bearers, Elaine and Betty Lou Bulgrin, nieces of the groom, wore dainty gowns of blue and pink. The rings were carried in calla lilies. The groom was attended by his brother, Burdell Bulgrin. A wedding dinner was served after the ceremony, covers were laid for 80. Relatives and friends were present from Curtiss, Owen and Withee. The parlor of the home was prettily decorated in yellow and white, with a large white bell and ferns and flowers. Dining room decorations were of pink and white and table decorations were similarly carried out. Among the out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Bulgrin and son, Burdell, and Mr. and Mrs. L.N. Christensen of Long Beach, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Hall of Medford; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bulgrin of Still… (the rest of my copy was cut off) |
