Tunke, Marie (Marriage - 26 Apr. 1933)

Miss Marie Tunke, daughter of Mrs. G. Tunke of the town of Frankfort, and Mr. George Schneider, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. George Schneider, Sr., were married at the Lutheran church at Edgar Wednesday evening at 8:00 P.M. Gladys Schneider, the groom’s sister, acted as bridesmaid and the groom was attended by Herman Tunke, the bride’s brother.

The bride was attired in a beautiful dress of gold rough crepe with hat and shoes to match and the bridesmaid wore a dress of peach tan crepe with hat and shoes to match and both carried bouquets of roses, sweet peas and lilies of the valley.

In the evening, a free wedding dance was given at Cherokee which was largely attended by friends and relatives.

The newlyweds left on a wedding trip to points in Northern Wisconsin, and, on their return, in about two weeks, will make their home for a while with the bride’s mother and later will manage another farm.
