Wiedenhoeft, Goldie (Marriage – 28 June 1933)

Miss Goldie Wiedenhoeft, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Wiedenhoeft of Colby, and Mr. Bernard Walters, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Walters of Marshfield, were married Wednesday morning, June 28, at ten o’clock at the St. Mary’s parsonage, Father Lang reading the marriage ceremony. Viola Walters acted as the maid of honor and Sylvia Walters was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Alvin Wiedenhoeft and Lawrence Walters.

The bride was attired in a beautiful dress of white satin, lace trimmed, tulle veil held in place by a cap shaped head dress trimmed with rhinestones. Her bouquet consisted of roses, baby’s breath and carnations. The maid of honor wore a peach crepe dress and her bouquet consisted of sweet peas and roses. The bridesmaid wore a dress of yellow crepe and her bouquet also consisted of sweet peas and roses.

A reception was held at the bride’s home followed by a dinner at six o’clock, covers being laid for sixty. The home was nicely decorated in yellow, peach and white for the occasion. In the evening a dance was given at the Wiedenhoeft pavilion which was largely attended by friends and relatives.

Out of town guests were: Mrs. Frank Greecke and children of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Walters and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Walters and family of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Rembs of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Lange of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Baer of Marshfield and Miss Sylvia Walters of Chicago.

The newlyweds will make a wedding trip to Chicago and other southern points and will be at home at Marshfield after July 3 where the groom is employed at the Baer & Lange furniture store.
