----Frane, Evelyn Ann (Marriage – 14 Sept. 1933)

A very pretty wedding took place at the St. Mary’s parsonage at Wausau Thursday, Sept. 14th, when Miss Evelyn Ann Frane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Frane of the town of Colby, became the bride of Mr. Myron Knies, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Knies of Wausau. Mrs. Theodore Frane acted as matron of honor and the groom was attended by Edwin Frane, the bride’s brother.

The bride was attired in a beautiful dress of white satin, ankle length, and her tulle veil, trimmed with lace, was arranged in cap effect caught with rhinestones. Mrs. Theodore Frane wore a dress of pink taffeta, ankle length, and a bondeau of pink rose buds and silver leaves. Her bouquet was similar to that of the bride’s.

A wedding reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents, covers for supper for about fifty being laid. The home was nicely decorated with smilaxs, garden flowers, wedding bells, fall foliage and pink and white streamers. In the evening a free wedding dance for invited guests will be given at the Oakwood pavilion.

The newlyweds will make a wedding trip to Milwaukee, Kenosha, Chicago and other points in southern Wisconsin and will be at home, after their return, on the corner of Tenth and Sommer Street at Wausau where the groom is employed as a truck driver.

Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Knies, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dern, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dehnls, Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Dehnls, Mr. Wilbur Dehnls, all of Wausau, and Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Knies of Newald.
