Burlingame, Eileen P. (August 9, 1925 - July 30, 2007)

Eileen P. Burlingame, 81, of Black River Falls, and formerly of Merrillan, died Monday, July 30, 2007, in the Family Heritage Care Center in Black River Falls, where she had resided since June 3, 2002.

She was born August 9, 1925, in *Colombia, WI, to Edwin and Pearl (Rush) Aldinger. She was raised in Jackson County and graduated from Alma Center High School.

Eileen married Dale Burlingame April 25, 1959. The couple lived in the Town of Alma, Jackson County, the majority of their married lives. He preceded his wife in death in February 1990.

She enjoyed the outdoors during spring, summer and fall. She also enjoyed gardening, doing picture puzzles and doing word search books. She loved being with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her daughter, Jill Burlingame, Merrillan, a brother, Harold Aldinger, Merrillan; two sisters, Emma (Bill) Arndt and Marlene (Earl) Dayton, both of Neillsville; three grandchildren, Kelly Burlingame, Winona, MN, and Jamie and Shawn Burlingame, both of Merrillan.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son and one sister, Iva Kubaskie.

Funeral services for Eileen P. Burlingame will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 2, 2007, from Torgerson’s Funeral Home (715.284.4321), Black River Falls. Ralph Schram will officiate, and burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery, Alma Center.

Relatives and friends may call at Torgerson’s Funeral Home Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.

*Believe this to be a typo in the original write up. Believe it should be Columbia, Wis., as Mr. and Mrs. Aldinger were living in Alma Center, Wis. in 1930.
