Surnames: Jergenson, Barr, Selden, Mead, Withee, Poppe, Scott, Smith ---Source: Neillsville Times (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 4 Jan. 1887 Longwood - Dec. 31, 1886 Miss Gina Gergenson is under treatment with De. Selden, of Thorp. Ira Barr took in Thorp one day last week. F. A. Mead, commercial agent, of St. Paul, has been visiting with his parents the past week. N. H. Withee, Jr., left for La Crosse Thursday to spend New Years day with his best girl. Logging is progressing nicely, and everybody is smiling. We are always glad to see our friends call, but Sheldon is tax collector, you know. E. Poppe has been quite sick the past week. Miss Edith Scott is wielding the birchen rod in this district this winter. Miss Amy Smith is home visiting with her parents during the holidays, Miss S. is teaching near Dorchester. |
