Fravert, Dorothy (23 SEP 1939)

Trinity Lutheran Church at Loyal was the scene of a simple nuptial service, Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock, when Miss Dorothy Fravert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fravert, town of Beaver, became the bride of Lester Kenyon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kenyon, Unity, Rev. J. C. Langholz performing the ceremony.

The bride was attired in a floor length gown of princess white satin. Her long veil edged in lace was arranged in cap effect with a head dress trimmed with seed pearls and orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of American Beauty roses and asters.

The bridesmaid, Mrs. Herman Schefus, sister of the bride was dressed in a floor length gown of Royal Blue, jacket effect, with shoulder length veil. She wore a wrist corsage of Gladioli and baby breath.

Herman Schefus served as best man. Both men wore dark suits, with boutonnieres of white asters.

A wedding supper was served to approximately 40 guests at the home of the bride’s parents, which was decorated with white and blue streamers and cut flowers. A large wedding cake centered the bride’s table.

Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Wienke and family and Mr. Ben Fuller, Glenwood City, Art Fravert and Tony Bichler, Appleton, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Fravert and family, Spencer.

In the evening the couple held a dance at Dallman’s Hall, Riplinger.

Mr. and Mrs. Kenyon will make their home at Spencer, where the groom is employed on the Soo Line section.
