Christensen, Ruth (26 OCT 1939)

Miss Ruth Christensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Christensen of Tomah, and Mr. Ben Fossbender of Riplinger, were united in marriage Thursday afternoon, October 26, at 1:30 P. M. at the Danish Lutheran Church of Tomah by Rev. Beyers of St. Paul.

The bride wore a white satin gown, ankle length with a white trailing veil. She entered the church on the arm of her father. She carried a bouquet of pink roses, baby breath and ferns.

Miss Christensen was attended her youngest sister, Verda, who wore pale blue and carried a bouquet of roses. Attending the groom was his nephew, Charles Youmans. The groom and his attendant both wore dark suits.

Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents. The tables and room were decorated in pink and white with a three tiered wedding cake serving as a center piece which was given by the bride’s sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Jack LaRock.

On Saturday evening, Nov. 4, a shower and wedding dance was given at Dallamn’s hall which was largely attended. Numerous and beautiful gifts were tendered the newlyweds.

The happy couple will make their home on the groom’s farm near Riplinger. Their many friends extend congratulations.
