Bonczyk, Stella F. (25 NOV 1937)

A wedding ceremony with impressiveness and beauty of surroundings, which included palms, ferns and flowers, was solemnized at St. Hedwig’s Church on Thanksgiving morning at 10 o’clock, Nov. 25th, 1937, when Rev. F.A. Kulig united Stella F. Bonczyk and Roman L. Anyzewski in a double ring ceremony. Miss Bonczyk is the daughter of the late Michael and Frances Bonczyk, and Mr. Anyzewski, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Anyzewski of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

The bride was attired in a white chiffon velvet gown with a long train. He tulle veil, trimmed with Chantilly lace, fell beyond the train from the satin coronet headdress which was caught with clusters of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of Johanna Hill roses, and a pearl rosary, the gift of the groom.

The maid of honor, Miss Alyce Anyzewski, sister of the groom, wore a gown of royal blue velvet, with matched braid and veil and gold accessories. She carried talisman roses and bronze pompons.

The glower girl, little Joan Papierniak, was dressed in a floor length dress of white chiffon velvet, her headdress consisting of veil and white flowers. She carried a small Colonial bouquet of white pompons.

The bridesmaids, Miss Esther Barry of Milwaukee, Miss Virginia Lee and Theresa Lang of Minneapolis, wore dubonnet velvet gowns with matched braids and veils, and gold accessories. They carried Talisman roses and bronze pompons.

Edward Pawlak of Milwaukee acted as best man. Frank Bonczyk of Thorp and Mike Bonczyk of Chicago, were the attendants.

While the organist rendered the wedding march, the bride, on the arm of her brother, Frank, walked down the aisle, preceded by her young lady attendants, and was met by the groom and his attendants at the chancel rail. The ushers were Stanley Sczygiel and Joseph Moczarny.

The reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Anyzewski, lunch and dinner being served at the high school auditorium.

The evening was pent in dancing, the grand march being directed by Stanley Sczygiel.

The bride and groom are both graduates of the Thorp High School and Minneapolis Business College. The groom also attended the University of Minnesota, and at present is a private accountant for the C. Erickson of the Erickson Machine Works. The bride is employed as a stenographer at the Minneapolis Lumber Exchange.

The out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Martin E. Razner, Stevens Point; Mrs. F. Leverich, Aurora, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Razner, Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Shafranski of Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Noren, the Misses Dorothy and Delores Noren, Antonette Bonczyk, Frances, Joseph and Lillian Lee, all of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Al Dekoski and Mr. Tormey, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Schonhardt, Marshfield; Miss Leona Lisowski of Lublin; Miss Mary Weber of Marathon City; Ed Packard and Roy Allen of Minneapolis.

The bride and groom were the recipients of many beautiful gifts. They left Sunday afternoon for Minneapolis, where they will reside.
