Jacque, Emma A. (9 NOV 1878 – 25 JAN 1938)

Emma Albertine Pribbenow, age fifty-nine years, was born Nov. 9th, 1878, in Logenhagen, Germany.

At the age of three she emigrated to America with her parents and resided on a farm in the town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.).

On June 2, 1903, she was united in marriage to Henry Jacque of Thorp. To this union was born, eight children, Arthur, Mary Quelle, Ella Hansen, Esther Freese and Alvin all of Thorp, three sons preceding her in death.

Besides her husband and children she leaves to mourn her untimely demise, two step-children, Joseph of Thorp and Rose Kolbach of Port Washington, Wis.; two sisters, Mary Kolpack of Gilman and Augusta Lammar of Medford; nineteen grandchildren and many friends.

Mrs. Jacque was in failing health for nine months and was confined in bed for about two months. She was called to her eternal home, Jan. 25, 1938 at 4:30 a.m., from a paralytic stroke.

The funeral services were held from the Bogumill Funeral Home at Thorp at two o’clock Friday afternoon, Rev. Sprengler of Thorp officiating, and interment being made in the Thorp Village Cemetery.

The pallbearers were: Bernard Rusch, Philip Mattes, Herman Buss, Charlie Budrus, Alvin Truckey and George Hansen.

Those from out of Thorp attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kolpack, and Mrs. Kapsy of Gilman; Augusta Lammar of Medford; Mr. and Mrs. Math, Mr. John Jacque, Mr. and Mrs. James Gengler and son of Port Washington; Michael Mondlack, of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Haff of Dickerson, N.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Buss of Withee; Mr. and Mrs. Jake Keller of Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Doege of Withee; and Mr. and Mrs. Jake Brown of Stanley.
