Surnames: DUBICKI GRINIEWSKI JAKUS BIOLORUSKI ---Source: THORP COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 07/14/1938 Dubicki, Adam (24 Dec. 1889 – 12 JUL 1938) Adam Dubicki, 49, a prominent Town of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) farmer, died at his home Tuesday evening, July 12, 1938, at 10:30. The funeral will be held Friday morning at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church. An obituary will be published next week. (Follow on in 7/21/1938 Thorp Courier) Adam Dubicki, 49, died of heart disease at his farm home in the town of Thorp on Tuesday evening, July 12th. Although his ailment was of considerable length, death came as a shock to his family and friends. Adam Anton Dubicki was born in Rudna, Poland, Dec. 24, 1889. He came to America in the year 1907 and lived with his uncle here for three years. On June 14, 1910, he was united in marriage to Mary Gryniewski AT St. Hedwig’s Church. He reside at Stnaley for two years and in Cleveland, Ohio for four years, returning to this territory in 1917 and locating on a farm northwest of Thorp, where he lived with his family until death. He was active in town and school affairs and held the office of supervisor for several years, also being a member of the Polish National Alliance Group. Members of the immediate family left to mourn his early demise are, his widow, two sons, Alois of Chicago and Stanley of Thorp, one daughter, Mrs. Stanley (Wanda) Jakus of Chicago, one sister, Mrs. Stanley Bioloruski of Chicago, and one grandchild, Carol Jakus. Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church on Friday morning last, Rev. F.A. Kulig officiating and burial being made in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Wyczawski, Louis Twarowski, Thos., Szatalowicz, Paul Cukla, Geo. Wartolec and Walter Juzwiak. |
