Mr. and Mrs. Fred Palmer and Mrs. Elsie Palmer and son, Carl, were callers at the Norman White home Wednesday evening.

Pearl Fessenden spent Friday afternoon with her sister, Mrs. John Johnson.

A large marsh fire on Mats Madson’s farm was quite a sight last week, as it could be seen for miles.

Mr. and Mrs. Allen Crockett spent Wednesday evening with his parents in Neillsville. They left Thursday with their son, Verlyn, and the Dittner brothers, who has been called to Wisconsin by the illness of their mother and were returning to their home in California. The Crocketts have a number of relatives in the west.

Mr. and Mrs. Helmuth Schultz, called at the Linton Jahr home Sunday.

Romauld Schmidt is spending a few days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schmidt. He was to return to Jefferson Barracks, Mo., Thursday.

Harry Kurasz and Melvin Millers of Indiana, who are working in steel mills, and Daniel Sonheim of Chicago, were here for a few days visit with their parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Opelt and daughters were callers at the Fred Subke home Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Norman White and son, Leonard, called at the Fred Subke home Saturday evening.

The light showers Saturday night started foliage on shrubbery and pastures quite noticeably. There was wonderful weather Friday and Saturday with the temperature at 80 degrees.

Mrs. Leland Buddenhagen accompanied her husband to Madison Sunday for a few days’ visit.

Mr. and Mrs. Linton Jahr were callers at the Ray Kutchie home Wednesday evening.

John Konrath expects to leave soon for Oshkosh, where he has work for the summer.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kurasz and children spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Kurasz.

Edna Munson called on Mrs. Elsie Palmer and family Monday afternoon.

Mrs. Fred Palmer took the train at Merrillan Sunday night for her return trip to Chicago, where she has a few weeks of school to finish. On Monday she and Mr. Neilsen visited Mrs. Neilsen, who is still in a Marshfield Hospital.
