Loos, Alex P. #2 (15 Nov. 1905 – 6 June 1984)

Loyal – Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, for Alex P. Loos, 78, of Route 2, Loyal. He died at 11:28 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where he was admitted shortly before.

Officiating will be the Rev. James J. Logan. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Randy, David, Dean and Steve Hinker, Kevin Noeldner and Michael Radosevich.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal. Services today in the funeral chapel will be a rosary service at 3:15 p.m. by St. Anthony’s Parish Council of Catholic Women, a prayer service at 8 p.m. and the Knights of Columbus rosary at 8:30 p.m.

He was born Nov. 15, 1905, in Kiel, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Conrad (Elizabeth Schnell) Loos. In 1908 he moved to Greenwood and received his education in rural and parochial schools there. At the age of 15 he moved to Loyal, where he had lived since.

On June 12, 1934 in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, he married Hilda Stutte. Plans had been made to observe their golden wedding anniversary this Sunday.

A semi-retired farmer, Mr. Loos farmed in the Town of Loyal for 50 years. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus.

Surviving are his wife, five daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Marlene) Hinker of Greenwood, Mrs. Gene (Marilyn) Hinker of Loyal, Mrs. Nathan (June) Noeldner of Loyal, Mrs. Donald (Sharon) Radosevich of Manitowoc and Mrs. William (Janet) Berry of Marshfield, 19 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Becker of Loyal and Mrs. Dorothy Boulanger of Chetek, and three brothers, Reuben Loos of Chicago, Jerome Loos of St. Charles, Ill., and Gilbert Loos of Loyal.

He was predeceased by a son in infancy and four brothers.
