Lehman, Caroline (Marriage – 12 June 1937)

At a ceremony performed Saturday morning at 9 o’clock at the parsonage of St. Bernard’s Catholic church in Abbotsford, the Rev. Father C. D. Brady officiating, Miss Caroline Lehman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lehman, town of Johnson, was united in marriage with Morris Gierl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gierl, town of Holton.

Mr. and Mrs. John Berghammer, Athens, sister and brother in law of the bride, Miss Catherine Heppner, Colby, a cousin of the bridegroom, and Elmer Ewan, Athens, a cousin of the bride, attended the couple.

A gown of white satin and a tulle veil bordered with lace was worn by the bride and her flowers were a bouquet of Ophelia roses and white carnations. Mrs. Berghammer was in sea green chiffon and Miss Heppner in peach chiffon and they carried arm bouquets of roses.

One hundred guests were entertained at a reception throughout the day at the home of the bride’s parents which was decorated for the occasion with flowers and streamers of green, peach and white.

The couple will make their home with the bridegroom’s parents.

Miss Caroline Lehman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lehman, town of Johnson, and Morris Gierl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gierl, town of Holton, were united in marriage Saturday morning at 9 o’clock at a ceremony performed by the Rev. C. D. Brady at Abbotsford.

Mr. and Mrs. John Berghammer, sister and brother-in-law of the bride, Miss Catherine Heppner, Colby, a cousin of the bridegroom, and Elmer Ewan, cousin of the bride, were the attendants.

The bride wore a gown of white satin and a tulle veil bordered with lace and carried an arm bouquet of Ophelia roses and white carnations.

Throughout the day a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents which was decorated for the occasion with streamers of green, peach and white and with garden flowers. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gierl, and daughter, Helen, Abbotsford and Mr. and Mrs. John Schneider and family, Mrs. Anna Lukowitz, Miss Katherine Heppner, John, Louis, George and Killian Gierl and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Gierl, Colby, were out of town guests.

The couple will live with the bridegroom’s parents in the town of Holton.
