Derby, Odele E. (Marriage - 30 Dec. 1939)

Miss Odele E. Derby, 208 E. Bakerville street, and Lawrence A Vandehey, Colby, exchanged marriage vows Saturday morning at an 8:30 o'clock ceremony performed at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. H. P. Toeller officiating.

During the ceremony Miss Derby's four brothers George, Robert, Lloyd and Ray, accompanied by Mrs. Harry Brinkman at the organ sang "Oh Sacred Heart," "Oh Love Divine," "Beautiful Mother," "Oh Lord I Am Not Worthy," and "Adeste Fideles." Mrs. Brinkman played "Ave Maria" as an organ solo.

Miss Derby was attired in a grape-wine street-length dress with matching accessories and carried a rosary. Miss Ramona Creed, her bridesmaid, wore a nile green street-length dress with brown accessories. Both wore corsages of sweet peas and roses. Charles Derby attended as best man.

Miss Derby is the daughter of Mrs. Louise Derby, Marshfield, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Vandehey, Colby. Mrs. Derby wore a moss green dress with a corsage of carnations and Mrs. Vandehey wore a maroon dress with a corsage similar to Mrs. Derby's.

A dinner was served to the immediate family at the home of the bride's mother. Out-of-town guests included Mr. and Mrs. D. Vandehey, Mr. and Mrs. Art Wiedenhoeft; Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Niebauer and family, Ralph Vandehey, Wisconsin Rapids; and Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Vandehey, Duluth, Minn.

Mrs. Vandehey is a graduate of the Marshfield High School and has been employed at the Weinbrenner Shoe Factory. The groom graduated from Loyal High School and is employed at Colby. Marshfield News-Herald

The Tribune joins the many friends and acquaintances of Lawrence in extending Best Wishes to both young people for a long and happy married life.
