Tesmer Saturday afternoon, October 2, at four o’clock when their daughter, LaVerne Tesmer, and Mr. Harold Behning, son of Mrs. Anna Behning of Milwaukee, exchanged marriage vows. The ceremony was performed in the presence of the immediate families by Rev. O. H. Hoffmann, pastor of the Zion Ev. Lutheran church. The home was nicely decorated with autumn leaves and flowers for the occasion. Miss Norma Roth acted as maid of honor and the groom was attended by Dr. E. J. Schmidt. The bride was attired in a floor length dress of aqua brocaded velvet with aqua face veil and silver head band. Her slippers were also silver. Her shower bouquet consisted of yellow roses, lilies and chrysanthemums. The maid of honor wore a gown of dusty rose taffeta and her corsage bouquet consisted of roses and chrysanthemums. The ceremony was followed by a reception and a six o’clock dinner was served the bridal party and the immediate families at the Hotel Robinson. Shortly after the couple left on a trip to the southern part of the state. The bride is a graduate of Colby high school and was book keeper at the local telephone office the past several years. The groom is employed as heating engineer by the United Coal and Dock Company in Milwaukee where they will reside.
