News: Milan (13 Jan. 1938)
Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 01/13/1938 Milan News M. C. Ellingson and grand daughter, Miss Adell Ellingson, spent Sunday with the Elmer Erickson family at Wausau. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Haberman, who spent the past month here visiting their many friends, left Monday for their home at Spokane, Wash. Ferdinand Huhn and daughter, Irene, returned from Madison Monday where little Irene received medical treatment on her eyes. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schmidt and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Strade and daughter, Doris, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Zillmann at Colby Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schmidt entertained their pinochle club Sunday evening. Included among their guests were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Haberman of Spokane, Wash. Harry and Elmer Eskritt spent Sunday with relatives at Stevens Point. The Milan Women’s Club will meet at the home of Mrs. William Krause on Thursday, Jan. 20th. The telephone service in this vicinity is operating again after being cut off from working service for nearly a week resulting from the heavy sleet and snow.
