Prange, *Fredericka (23 Apr. 1849 – 11 Mar. 1938)

Funeral services for Mrs. Chris Prange of the town of Holton who died at the age of 88 years Friday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clara Baumgart, at Fifield after two week’s illness, were held Monday afternoon at the Christ Lutheran church at Abbotsford, Rev. John Brandt officiating, and burial was made in the town of Holton cemetery. Pall bearers were Henry Jacobi, Herbert Jacobi, Anton Kramer, Nick Wibben, Fred Meshke, Gust Hoeft.

The deceased was born April 23, 1849, in Germany and emigrated to Milwaukee at the age of 23 years. She was married there in 1877 to Chris Prange who preceded her in death. She lived on a farm three miles north-east of Abbotsford for sixty years. Surviving are nine children, Mrs. Bertha Fink, Mrs. William Hintz, and Mrs. Gust Hintz of Abbotsford, Mrs. Clara Baumgart of Fifield, Mrs. Chris Dallenbach of Siren, Mrs. Wm. Fink of Milwaukee, Chris Prange of Whittlesey, Reinhold Prange of Ogilvie, Minn., Herman Prange of North Dakota.
