Oblack, Albina A. (5 NOV 1938)

Soft strains of organ music radiated through the Holy Family Church at Willard (Clark Co., Wis.) for the wedding of Miss Albina Alecia Oblack, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Oblack of Willard, and John Edward Matkovich of Owen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Matkovich of Willard, which was solemnized Saturday morning at 10 o’clock.

Celebrant at the nuptial mass was the pastor, the Rev. Marsalle Marinsek, and the marriage service was read by the Rev. J.J. Novak.

Harmonizing shades of blue were combined in the bride’s suit, with which she wore matching accessories and a pillbox hat with a short face veil and feather of royal blue. Her corsage combined roses and chrysanthemums, and she carried a prayer book.

Miss Rose Oblack, the bride’s only attendant, was dressed in a blue suit and wore a shoulder corsage similar to the bride’s.

Louis Matkovich attended the bridegroom as best man.

Mrs. Leonard Rauen, sister of the bridegroom, played the wedding march and provided appropriate music during the ceremony.

Immediate relatives and friends were entertained at a reception at the bride’s home after the ceremony. A luncheon, breakfast and dinner were served.

Mr. Matkovich and his bride are leaving on a week’s wedding trip, and on their return will reside at Owen, where the bridegroom is employed as an electrical engineer with the Northern States Power Company.

The bride was formerly employed in Chicago.
