Larson, John C. (2 Feb. 1949 - 2 Oct. 2007)

John C. Larson, 58, Neillsville, Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, WI. He was born February 2, 1949, in Savanna, Illinois, to Clifford and Louise (Krueger) Barth. He was raised in Appleton. John married Carol Boettcher on May 19, 1973, in Appleton. John liked politics and crime prevention. He was the President of the Neighborhood Watch and had 10 block captains underneath him. He also received a plaque from the Town of Grand Chute for his efforts. He owned and operated a floor sanding company in Appleton and Neillsville, where he and his wife currently live. In his spare time, John enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 34 years, Carol; a son: Greg (Jamie) Larson; two grandchildren: Hannah and Eian; sisters: Cindy (Mike) Beson, Lori (Leon) Pynenberg; a brother: Tim Larson. John is further survived by stepbrothers and sisters; stepfather Robert Larson; Godmother Verla Koerrner; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends, all of Appleton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Chuck, and a sister, Sue.

A Celebration of John's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2007, at the Valley Funeral Home with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating. Friends may visit the family from 9 a.m. until the time of services Saturday morning.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, WI.
