Mais, Beatrice J. (Marriage – 1 July 1939)

Miss Beatrice J. Mais, daughter of Paul J. Mais, and Orville Wm. Schultz of Unity, were united in marriage at the rectory of St. Mary’s Catholic church Saturday afternoon, July 1st, at 2:00 P.M., Rev. Leo J. Lang performing the ceremony. Mrs. Frank Lane and Mrs. Joseph Cox of Chicago, the bride’s sisters, acted as bridesmaids and the groom was attended by his brother, William Schultz and his cousin, Clarence Schultz.

The bride was attired in a gown of white mousseline-de-soie with a short veil and her bouquet consisted of Talisman roses and baby breath. The bridesmaids’ dresses were of blue and yellow mousseline-de-soie and they had colonial bouquets. The groom’s mother wore a dress of blush rose lace.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s father, the home being nicely decorated in white, yellow and blue for the occasion.

After a wedding trip in Northern Wisconsin and Michigan, the young couple will be at home at Unity, Wis., where the groom is in business with his father.

In the evening a wedding dance was given at Wiedenhoeft’s pavilion which was largely attended by friends and relatives.

Out of town people present for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Cox, sons Denny and Terry, Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Lane, Robert Mais, John Collins and mother, Mrs. Theresa Collins, Mrs. Clara Gratz, Mr. and Mrs. Al. Johnson, all of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. William Wheeler, son Paul and daughters Ruth and Ila, Mrs. Lester Louden, all of Beaver Dam, Miss Lucille Mais of Appleton, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Huber, daughter, Jean, and son Elsworth of Racine, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Welsch, Mr. and Mrs. N. L. Dessloch, Mr. and Mrs. William Harry, all of Colby, Dr. and Mrs. H. A. Schultz and family of Edgar, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. John Schultz and family, Raymond Schultz, all of Random Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wiltgen, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wiltgen, all of Cedar Grove, Mr. and Mrs. William Kadolph and family and Mrs. Lemke of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Reichert of Dorchester and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wears of Marshfield.
