Surnames: Brooks Source: Marshfield News (Marshfield, Wood Co., Wis.)Thursday; Feb. 25, 1904; Page 4 Brooks, S. E. (1836? - 1904) SPENCER Mr. S. E. Brooks, a civil war veteran, died at his home in the village Sunday night after an illnes of only three days. His three sons and a daughter who were at Moon, arrived Saturday, and with his wife, were present with him when he died. He was 68 years old, and for the last 25 years has made his home in Spencer. He has been sexton of the Baptist church for a number of years. A large circle of friends and acquaintances sympayhize with the relatives. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon. |
