Yager, Vuran C. (Marriage – 4 Nov. 1939)

Miss Vuran C. Yager, daughter of Frank F. Yager of Chicago, Ill., became the bride of Henry Duellman of Abbotsford at a ceremony performed by Rev. C. D. Brady on Saturday, Nov. 4th, at 9:30 o’clock in St. Bernard’s Catholic church in Abbotsford.

A beautiful sheer wool dress was worn by the bride, with a corsage of brown and green orchids. Her matron of honor, Mrs. Florenteen Heppner, wore a green sheer wool dress. Mrs. Loretta Gierl, the bridesmaid, wore a cedar color ensemble. Matthew Duellman was best man, and groomsman was Ernst Gierl.

A reception, dinner and supper were held for seventy-two relatives and friends at the R. Heppner home of Colby. Guests include Mr. and Mrs. Frank Yager, Dr. and Mrs. O. M. Yager, Misses Winne Walk and Martha Bohl, Mrs. Evelyn Hardy, Dan Reece, Mrs. William Sandy, Miss A. Schich, Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. L. Behrens, Mr. and Mrs. V. Haben, Prairie View, Ill.; Mrs. Raymond Haben, Niles Center, Ill.; Miss Catherine Yager and Mrs. Florence Yager, Highland Park, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. F. Schettler and Mr. and Mrs. D. Pell, Fountain City; and Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Pell, Milwaukee.

Before her marriage Mrs. Duellman was employed in Chicago as a secretary. After Nov. 15 the couple will be at home to friends in Abbotsford where the groom operates a tavern and restaurant. A dance was given at the armory in the evening.
