Curtiss News

Miss Martha Hermanson was surprised with a miscellaneous shower at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Phillips Sunday afternoon. Many beautiful gifts were received for the new home at 5 P.M. A delicious picnic supper was served to the guests.

Miss Velois Krueger and Elaine Jakel, who are students at the Teachers College at Stevens Point, came home for their vacation.

Mrs. Otto Dunow, who spent the past two months at Milwaukee, returned to her home.

Elroy Fahrenbach of Madison came home Thursday for a visit with his parents.

Lional Schizek spent a few days at the General Hospital at Madison where he took a few treatments on his foot.

Mr. and Mrs. Tony Henlich spent a few hours at Wausau on Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. R. Kloke came home Friday from a visit with relatives at Wisconsin Rapids, Pittsville and Port Edwards.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Geary and family attended the birthday party at the home of Clarence Stephens at Green Grove Saturday night.

Misses Mary Thompson, of the State Teachers College of LaCrosse, and Miss Ruth Thompson of Menominee are spending their vacation with their parents.

Roman Peterson, who spent the past 10 weeks in Madison, where she was employed, returned to his home.

Oscar Lipprandt entertained a crowd of friends at his home Friday nite. There were nine tables of pinochle players. Prizes were given at at 11 P.M. and a fine hot lunch was served.

John Erickson, who is a student at the University of Madison, is spending the holidays here with his parents.
