Surnames: Earp, Brown, Ewing, Pokorny, Reynolds ---Source: The Wausau Daily Herald (Wausau, Marathon County, Wis.) 05/08/2005 Earp, Alice G. (1911? – 3 May 2005) Alice G. Earp, 94, formerly of Green Bay, Wis., died peacefully, Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at her daughter’s home in Huntley, Ill., where she has lived since 1999. Alice was born in Owen, Wis., and spent her childhood in Wittenberg, Wis. Moving to Green Bay in 1927, she married F.L. “Jug” Earp, former Green Bay Packer (1922 to 1932) in 1932. They had two daughters, Nancy C. Brown, Huntley, Ill., and Judy Ewing, Claremont, N.H. Alice was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church and worked at Pahlow’s Luggage, Doering’s Jewelers and Bake’s Gift Shop. Following her husband’s death in 1969, she moved to Easton, Md., where she managed a gift shop for many years. She returned to Green Bay in 1987, later residing at Woodside Assisted Living before moving to Illinois. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy and Judy; five grandchildren, Andy (Laurie) Brown, Newfoundland, N.J.; Laurie (Gary) Pokorny, Grand Rapids, Mich.; Mark (Meg) Ewing, Claremont, N.H.; William (Dale) Ewing, Weekiwachee, Fla.; and Sarah (Ron) Reynolds, Claremont, N.H.; four great-grandchildren, Laurilee Brown, Dan, Emily and Michael Pokorny; and one great-great-granddaughter, Carly Reynolds. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and a brother, a step-sister and two granddaughters. Interment will be private in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Green Bay, Wis.
