Brodbeck, Arthur J. (14 Oct. 1937 – 24 Jan. 2007)

Arthur J. Brodbeck 69, of Lake Holcombe passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Art was born, the son of Frank and Kunda (Drolshagen) Brodbeck, October 14, 1937, in Medford. He graduated from high school in Withee and served in the U.S. Army as an electrician.

Art married Mary Ann Moczarny on May 12, 1962, in Thorp. Art then worked in the banking business in Jefferson, Wis., until retiring in 2000, and moving to his family's favorite vacation spot in Holcombe, Wis. Art was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Sheldon, where he was very active and served on the finance committee. He also was involved in various community organizations and volunteered at the Rusk County Hospital canteen, and was a former member of the Lake Holcombe Lions Club. Art enjoyed fishing, boating and woodworking.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; a daughter, Denise Brodbeck of Tigerton, Wis.; three sons, Gregory (Leslie) Brodbeck of Ft, Walton Beach, Fla., Phillip (Debra) Brodbeck of Wales, Wis., and Brian (Ann) Brodbeck of Marshall, Wis.; his grandchildren, Kyle and Kevin, Abby and Janie and Matthew and Emily. He is further survived by one brother, Frank Jr. (Kathy) Brodbeck of La Crosse; and three sisters, Darlene (Frank) Kowalski, Margaret (Bill) Strohkirch and Barbara (Scott) Ramberg, all of Withee; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, January 29, at St. John's Catholic Church in Sheldon, with Fr. John Long and Fr. Phillip Juza officiating.

Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the Borton Funeral Home in Cornell, where a prayer service will be held at 5 p.m., and one hour prior to services on Monday at the church.
