Miss Mabel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rademacher of Stanley, and Donald, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Vandehey of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), were united in marriage at 9:00 o’clock Tuesday morning last week by F. E. Wallace at St. Mary’s Church.

Hamsing, Ruth (21 MAY 1939)

Twelve o’clock noon was the hour chosen by Ruth Hamsing for the nuptial ceremony that united her in marriage Sunday, May 21st, 1939, with Truman C. Ramberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Ramberg of Thorp, Wis. St. John’s Lutheran Church, decorated at the altar with spring flowers, was the scene of the wedding.

The Rev. Walter Sievers, St. John’s pastor, read the service in the presence of friends and relatives of the couple and the bridal attendants, Miss Helen Hanneman of Chicago, friend of the bride, and Orville Ramberg of Thorp, brother of the bridegroom.

The bride, who before her marriage was employed as a beautician in a Pardeeville beauty shop, wore an afternoon frock of Suez rose. Her accessories and veiled hat were navy blue, and she carried an arm bouquet of roses and sweet peas.

Miss Hanneman’s dress was Windsor blue with pale blue accessories. Her flowers were sweet peas.

After the ceremony the bridal party went to the Hotel Lincoln, where a wedding luncheon was served.

In the afternoon a reception was held at the home of the bride’s uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Oldenburg. Bouquets of snapdragons, lilacs and sweet peas formed a decorative setting.

Among the out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Ramberg and Orville Ramberg of Thorp; Miss Exelda Ramberg of Mendota, Ill.; Miss Helen Hanneman of Chicago; Mrs. Herman Wagner and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gishkowsky of Horicon, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Finke and son of Mayville, Wis.; and Victor Pyla of Thorp.

Mr. Ramberg and his bride will make their home at 113 Worden Ave., Ladysmith, Wis., where he is a manufacturer of beverages.
