Obit: Mathews, Lulu (1893 – 1939)
Surnames: Mathews, Soper ---Source: THORP COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 06/29/1939 Mathews, Lulu (14 FEB 1893 – 20 JUN 1939) Mrs. Frank J. Mathews, residing two mile wet of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), died at Sacred Heart Hospital at Eau Claire, on June 20, 1939, after a long illness. She came to Thorp with her husband and family about one year ago, from Stanley, where Mr. Mathews was engaged in business. Lulu Soper was born at Argyle, Wis. on Feb. 14, 1893 and was married to Frank Mathews at Birchwood in 1913. She is survived by nine children, her husband and mother, four sisters and three brothers. The body was prepared for burial at the Bogumill Mortuary and transported to Birchwood, where funeral service and interment took place on Saturday last. |
