Record) Miss Rose McConnell, daughter of Mrs. Lillian McConnell of Pittsville, and Waldo R. Albert, son of Mrs. Albert Albert of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), were united in marriage on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 1939, at nine o’clock in the morning at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church, this city, with the Rev. John Willitzer officiating. The bride was attired in white satin, trimmed with lace and carried an arm bouquet of chrysanthemums. Her maid, Miss Eva Liebenstein, was attired in a dress of rose satin and carried a colonial bouquet of pink and white chrysanthemums. The groom was attended by Leo Crotteau of Rudolph. A wedding dinner and supper was served to about fifty guests at the home of the bride’s mother. In the evening a wedding dance was held in the local community hall. Out of town guests present were, Mrs. Albert Albert and son Leland and Arnold Velcheck, of Thorp, Mrs. P.G. Jones, Chicago, Mrs. M.G. Haggerty of St. Paul, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Skibba, Mrs. M. Heide, Mr. and Mrs. R. Neise of Junction City, Miss Edith Liebenstein of Marshfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tosch of Rudolph. The bride was employed at the Baum’s Dept. Store, city, for a number of years. The groom is employed as Superintendent of the Dairy Belt Condensery at Junction City, and the couple will make their home in the latter place after a short wedding trip. |
