Seaborn, Claire (Marriage – 19 June 1941)

Miss Claire Seaborn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Seaborn, and Mr. Ralph Abrahamson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Abrahamson, were united in marriage on Thursday, June 19, 1941, at the First Methodist Episcopal church at Baraboo, Wis., Rev. Charles Emery reading the marriage ceremony.

Mrs. Earl Biegler of Madison, Wis., was matron of honor and the groom was attended by Edwin Klassy.

The bride was attired in a becoming colonial style white net dress, veil of bridal illusion with hand crocheted coronet. Her bouquet consisted of white roses and blue larkspur. The matron of honor wore a dress of pink lace and pink marquisette and her bouquet consisted of pink roses and blue larkspur.

Miss Janet Manley of Peoria, Ill., was flower girl and wore a dress which was the duplicate of the bride and carried a hand crocheted flower basket.

A reception was held at the Methodist church parlors.

The groom will attend summer school at the Vandercook School of Music at Chicago, Ill. The couple will be at home in Colby after Aug. 15th.

Mr. Abrahamson is a graduate of the Central State Teachers’ College, Stevens Point, and is band director of the Colby High School. Mrs. Abrahamson was graduated from Whitewater State Teachers’ College and is the home economics teacher at the Colby High School.
