The Ladies’ Aid of the St. Paul’s Lutheran church will meet with Mrs. George Hoff on Wednesday, July 9.

Mr. and Mrs. Willard Geary of Glencoe, Ill., arrived here on Friday to spend a two weeks vacation with relatives here and the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dake, of Dorchester.

The Misses Ruth Green and Ann Pettit, nurses at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire, spent Thursday with the former’s mother, Mrs. Minnie Green.

Recent guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson were Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Finstad of LaCrosse and Mr. and Mrs. H. Hemminger of Eau Claire.

The Luther League of the Ev. Lutheran church will meet at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Thompson on Thursday evening, July 3rd.

Mrs. Herbert Ward, Mrs. Ralph Stanford of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Emma Glenzer of Green Grove were dinner guests at the Frank Matthias home on Wednesday.

Guests at the Frank Lupient home during the past week were the former’s brother, Fred Lupient, Mrs. Roy Lupient and children of Marshfield and Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Lupient of St. Paul.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Thompson and son, Dale, left on Wednesday for a two weeks vacation, Their first stop was a day’s visit with Rev. and Mrs. W. L. Anderson at Prairie Farm.

Mr. and Mrs. George Hoff and daughter, Miss Myrtle Hoff drove to Wausau on Sunday to get the former’s son, Harley, who has been attending the Wausau Business College and who will spend the summer with his parents.

F. W. Laabs and son, Arville, drove to Davenport, Iowa, on Sunday to meet Mrs. Herman Laabs and son of Springfield, Missouri, who will spend the month of July at the Laabs home.

Prof. and Mrs. H. Hong of St. Olafs College, Northfield, will show moving pictures illustrating their travels in Europe. The Hongs traveled in Norway, Denmark and Germany and were still there when the war broke out in Europe. Pictures will be shown at the Curtiss village hall Wednesday evening, July 9th.
