Surnames: Meacham, Goetz, Albrecht, Seefeld, Schofield, Fischer, Andraska, Schreindl, Bosma, Prestin, Hardrath ---Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 07/24/1941 Meacham, Margaret (Marriage – 16 July 1941) Miss Margaret Meacham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Meacham, and Verland Goetz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Goetz, were united in marriage Wednesday afternoon, July 16th, at St. John’s Lutheran church at Riplinger, Rev. Franklin Albrecht of Spencer reading the marriage ceremony. Evelyn Meacham was maid of honor and Violet Goetz was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Marvin Goetz as best man and Darrel Meacham as groomsman. The bride was attired in a dress of flowered satin with long train and seed pearls forming a “V” on each shoulder. Her veil was of lace edging falling from a head piece of seed pearls matching the pearls on her dress. Her shower bouquet consisted of garden flowers. The maid of honor wore a floor length dress of pink marquisette trimmed with lace and the bridesmaid a floor length dress of blue marquisette trimmed with lace. Both wore a veil and head dresses matching their dresses and both had bouquets of mixed garden flowers. The mothers wore shoulder corsages of sweet peas and carnations. The bride’s mother wore a navy blue dress trimmed with white with a matching blue jacket. The groom’s mother wore a dress of peach satin with a matching jacket. Mrs. Frank Seefeld played the wedding march and she and her husband sang “In the Garden” and “Whispering Hope.” A reception was given in the church parlors which was decorated with pink, white and blue streamers fastened to a large white bell in the center over the bridal table. Streamers fell from the bell under which was a large wedding cake. The newlyweds will be at home at Riplinger where the groom is employed at farming. Out-of-town guests at the rites were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Meacham, Stockholm; Mr. and Mrs. Archie Meacham and family, Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Seefeld and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Schofield and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Meacham and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Seefeld, all of Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Fischer and family, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Andraska, Mr. and Mrs. Jiles Andraska, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Schreindl, all of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. William Goetz and family of Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Art Bosma and family, Prentice; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Prestin and family, Abbotsford; and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hardrath of Unity.
