Bio: Parry, Mr./Mrs. David – Christ. Greetings (31 Dec. 1942)
Surnames: Parry, Beggs, Jackson, McNary, Jacques, Sniteman ---Source: The Clark County Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 31 Dec. 1942 A Novel Holiday Greeting Outstanding among the Christmas cards received by the friends of Mr. and Mrs. David Parry this year, were those sent out by the couple. Although the cards carried only the usual sentiment and signatures, they revealed a secret which long had been kept from their relatives and friends. Only the sister of the brides, Mrs. Violet Beggs, knew of the marriage of Miss Esther Jackson and David Parry, which took place at Freeport, Ill., July 10, 1933. The Rev. D. L. McNary, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Freeport performed the rites. Mrs. McNary witnessed the ceremony. Mrs. Parry has always made her home in Neillsville. She was graduated from the Neillsville high school and taught for a time in the rural districts of Clark County. She later entered the law office of George L. Jacques and for some time has been doing clerical work in the office of Schuster & Campman. Mr. Parry came to Neillsville from Berlin, Wis., to work in the C. C. Snitemen Co. drug store. Since the death of Mr. Sniteman he has been acting in the capacity of pharmacist and manager. Both young people are widely known and well liked by a large circle of friends and by those whom they serve in a business way. They have been most popular in Masonic and Eastern Star Circles, being public spirited and aggressive. They have become valuable members of many of the city’s organizations.
