BioM: Ritter, Pauline (1940)
Surnames: Ritter, McCray, Roller ---Source: OWEN ENTERPRISE (Owen, Clark County, Wis.) 05/02/1940 Ritter, Pauline (28 APR 1940) St. Katherine’s Church was the scene of a quiet but beautiful wedding at noon Sunday, April 28, 1940, when Miss Pauline Ritter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ritter of the town of Weston (Clark Co., Wis.), and Blaine McCray, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira McCray were united in marriage before a group of immediate friends and relatives of the young people. The ceremony was performed by Father R.E. Ortmayer. The bride wore a gown of light blue taffeta of floor length with a tulle veil and carried a white prayer book from which the service was read. Her attendant, Mrs. Edward Roller, wore a gown similar to that of the bride. The groom wore a dark business suit with a white pin stripe running through it and wore a white boutonniere. His brother, Harold, stood up with him and wore a business suit of dark green and wore a white boutonniere in the lapel. Immediately following the service a dinner was held in the Community hall for their friends and guests. The tables were beautifully decorated in a color scheme of pink and blue. The young couple enjoyed a drive about the country the remainder of the day and on Monday he resumed his work at Mac’s bakery where he has been employed for a long time. The bride is well known to Owen people, having been employed at the Fremont Hotel for several months. The newlyweds are making their home with the groom’s parents and have the best wishes of their friends for a happy wedded life. |
