Burhop, Rosalie Ann (30 Aug. 1876 – 6 Aug. 1942)

Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Burhop, who died of a heart ailment at Sheboygan Falls last Thursday morning, August 6th, at 9:15 o’clock, were held at the Colby M. E. church Monday afternoon, Rev. A. C. Riley officiating, and internment was made in the Colby cemetery. Pall bearers were Alvin Brehm, Wm. Kunze, Wm. Becherer, Paul Rucks, Henry Forbish, Louie Weiler. Those in charge of the flowers were Adora Sieber and Verna Krause.

Mrs. Burhop, nee Rosalie Ann Greenwood, was born in Sheboygan Falls on August 30, 1876, thus reaching the age of 65 years, 11 months and six days. She was married to William Sieber on April 11, 190?. Mr. Sieber died in 1908 leaving three children – Hattie, Albert and Henry Sieber. Albert died in 1928. On May 27, 1909, she was married to Fred Burhop at St. Paul, Minn. Mr. Burhop died in 1933.

Surviving children are Mrs. Ed Krause of Abbotsford, Henry Sieber of Sheboygan Falls, Louie Burhop of Colby, Mrs. Gust Gollhardt of Amherst Junction and Mrs. Fred Alexander of Colby. Surviving brothers and sisters are Walter Greenwood of Lawrence, Kansas, Mrs. Jane Horton of Duluth, Minn., Mrs. Auralie Leslie of Minneapolis, Anthony Greenwood of Minneapolis and Mrs. Gladys Steinke of Arnott, Wis.

Out of town relatives here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Mose Horton of Duluth, Minn., Mrs. Auralie Leslie and Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Greenwood of Minneapolis, Mrs. W. Steinke of Stevens Point, Walter Greenwood of Lawrence, Kansas, Mrs. Gust Gollhardt of Amherst Junction, Henry Sieber and daughter, Adora, of Sheboygan Falls and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Krause and daughter, Merna.

The deceased was a good Christian of a congenial and industrious disposition and well liked by all who knew her.
