Surnames: Grottke, Riedel, Krause, Evanson ---Source: Marshfield News Herald (Marshfield, Wood Co., Wis.) Monday, November 19, 2007 Grottke, Eva E. (8 Feb. 1915 – 16 Nov. 2007) Eva E. Grottke Eva E. Grottke, 92, died Nov. 16, 2007, at the Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Schofield, where she resided for the past six years. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the church. The Gesche Funeral Home is assisting Eva's family with funeral arrangements. She was born Feb. 8, 1915, in the town of Pine Valley, Clark County, the daughter of Herman and Amelia (Riedel) Krause. She was united in marriage to Arnold Grottke on July 18, 1934. They later divorced; he died July 18, 1979. Eva took over the management of the Family Shoe Store and was in business for 10 years, retiring in 1980. Sue is survived by her daughter, Linda (Dennis) Evanson of Wausau; a son-in-law, Jerry Ehlers of Green Bay; and four grandsons. |
