Wed, Nov 16, 2005 Kehoe, Shirley (17 Sept. 1925 – 30 Oct. 2005) Shirley Kehoe Shirley (nee Mack) Kehoe, 80, died Sunday night, Oct. 30, 2005, in Mesa, Ariz. Shirley Mack was born in Loyal, on Sept. 17, 1925. She attended Loyal schools and graduated from Loyal High School in 1944. After graduation, she moved to Milwaukee and worked for the Milwaukee Brewers. When the Boston Braves moved to Milwaukee, she worked as personal secretary to General Manager John Quinn all the time the Braves were in Milwaukee. She numbered as her friends many of the personnel and players of the teams, including Henry Aaron, Warren Spahn and Lou Burdett. After the Braves left Milwaukee, she and her husband moved to Mesa, where she worked for the Phoenix Bureau of Land Management. She and her husband were avid ASU fans and for years had season football tickets. She was a sweet person who always had a good word for everybody. Survivors include her sons, James C. Kehoe, Danny G. Kehoe and Mack C. Kehoe; her sister, Mildred Sterr, Safford, Ariz.; her brother, Vance Mack, Melbourne, Australia, and her twin brother, Sherrin Mack, Loyal; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles Mack Kehoe, in 1998. |
