Butler – by Mrs. H. C. Conklin

The social given by the Butler Ladies’ Aid was well attended and a nice sum of money was made for the Red Cross.

Mrs. Lloyd Myring of Minneapolis has been visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Kuehl.

Pvt. Ziggie Danielewicz, who has been home for a furlough, returned to Camp on Tuesday.

Ray Baldeshwiler was a caller at the Jack Conklin home on Sunday.

All who have maple trees in the neighborhood are busy tapping trees, washing pails and getting ready to save the crop of syrup and maple sugar.

Several robins bluebirds and killdeer have been seen the past week and they are a very welcome sight after the long cold winter.

Otto Cornwall of Reseburg and his cousin from Spencer were business callers in this locality on Tuesday.
