Seefeldt, Verla (Marriage – 30 June 1943)

Wearing a street-length white satin dress, Miss Verla Seefeldt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Seefeldt of Spencer, exchanged marriage vows with Leland Hebert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hebert of Unity, Wednesday afternoon, June 30th, at 2:00 o’clock in the parsonage of the Methodist Episcopal church at Colby. Rev. A. C. Riley read the nuptial vows.

Attendants were Miss Marian Seefeldt, sister of the bride, in a pink dress, as maid of honor, and Miss Audrey Pickett, in blue, as bridesmaid. Both had corsages of pink roses centered with an orchid. The groom was attended by Wesley Johnson and Bernard Bessmer.

A five o’clock supper and a reception for 50 guests followed after the ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents. Pink, white and blue streamers were used for decorations.

The couple will reside on the groom’s farm near Unity. For the past ten months, Mrs. Hebert had been employed by the Graves Mercantile Co. at Spencer.
