Thursday, November 29, 2007 Chalmers, Ellen M. (19 Nov. 1928 – 27 Nov. 2007) Ellen M. Chalmers MILWAUKEE -- Ellen M. Chalmers, (nee Nelson, formerly Lindner), 79, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007. A memorial gathering will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at the Krause Funeral Home, 12401 W. National Ave., New Berlin. Krause Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements. Ellen and Bob loved dancing and traveling together. Ellen and Gordon enjoyed time with family and friends in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Texas. Ellen taught all her children the joys of gardening, canning, baking, camping, sewing and reading. She brought love and comfort to those she met and was quick to help anyone in need. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. Her nephew, Rev. Tom Lindner will officiate. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the Mass time Saturday. Burial will be in St. Anthony Church Cemetery. Loving mother of Beatrice (Mike) Chilson, Sandy (Michael) LaPorte, Sam (Anita) Lindner, Colette (Jim Trautschold) Lindner, Chris (Dennis) Cavalier, JoEllen (Jeff) Rafenstein, Ruth (Joe) Katula, Peter Lindner and Patrice (Thomas) Piette. Dear grandma of Nathan and Trevor Chilson, Andy LaPorte, Jonathan, Amy, Michael and Amanda Lindner, Jacob, Nicole and Abby Piette. Fond sister of Corrine "Pinky" Richmond, Dr. Ken (Sandy) and Dennis (Carol) Nelson. Dennis died suddenly the same day. Sister-in-law of Bobbi, Mary Ann and Sharon Nelson, Tessie (Bob) Michalski, Joan (Mike) Hughes, Carmen Neste, Pete, Andy (Dolores), Tom (Lorraine) Lindner and Tom Seubert. Also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Lindner and her second husband, Gordon Chalmers; her grandson, Wyatt Katula; her sisters, Jeanne Reamy, Patricia Phillips, Nancy Seubert; her brothers, Russ, Tom and Norm Nelson; brothers-in-law, Clyde Reamy, Harry Phillips, Eugene Merkel, Morris Neste; and sisters-in-law, Rita Stewart, Nina and Lois Lindner. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Robert and Ellen Lindner Endowed Fund, Catholic Memorial High School, 601 E.
